March is science month, did you know that?
We can thank science for most of the great tools and technology that we have in our lives. I am grateful (most of the time) for the advances that science has made in my life.
We have all seen the movies of the old days. Some of us don’t recognize some of the common tools that were used that are now in the museums. Remember the lights that were used back in the pioneer days? They had long handles required smelly fuel and you had to keep a match nearby (no lighters back then) to light the lanterns.
Now we flip a switch and most of the time the light comes on because we now have electricity. I am sure thankful for that. Even the way we get the electricity is changing. Most of our electric energy is from fossil fuels. We are slowly changing where we get our electric source from fossil fuel to things like wind & solar energy.
This means that many more of us have the opportunity to be our own power stations. Some of us will be able to make some money from home grown energy.
How are you going to take advantage of the new opportunities with energy? Leave your comments below.
